Announcing the Free Learning Monitor
By jtcobb on Apr 24, 2008 in Open Education
On the one hand, I have been fascinated for some time with the growing number of free learning experiences available out here on the Web. On the other hand, it was never really my aim to make Mission to Learn a continual stream of news and resource postings. So, to have it both ways, I’ve decided to launch a monthly newsletter: the Free Learning Monitor.
My goal with the Monitor is to track down high quality, free online learning online experiences–and perhaps even the occasional offline experience, if it meets the “free” criteria–and share them with readers. I am hoping to maintain a reasonable balance between quality and quality–meaning I won’t publish everything I find, but nor will I have time to review everything I find in detail. So…
If you are interested, please subscribe (but first see the Mission to Learn Privacy Policy if you are worried about me doing dastardly things with your information. In short, anything you put into the two fields below will be used absolutely, positively only for purposes of delivering a copy of the Free Learning Monitor to your inbox monthly.)
(A note to e-mail subscribers to Mission to Learn: If you don’t see the form above, click through to Announcing the Free Learning Monitor.)
If you happen to be an individual or organization that has created some form of free learning experience, please let me know about it. I can’t guarantee I’ll include it in the Monitor, but I promise I’ll take a look and respond. E-mail me at jcobb_at_missiontolearn.com.
